With years of experience in various photography fields—including news, sports, landscapes, and commercial events—I am now eager to shift my focus to capturing the essence of our beloved pets. My love for animals has inspired me to explore this new avenue within my photography.

Through my lens, I aim to showcase the unique personalities and emotions of pets, highlighting their playful nature and the bonds they share with their human companions. Each photograph will tell a story, reflecting the joy and connection that pets bring to our lives.

As I embark on this journey, I look forward to experimenting with different styles and settings, whether it be candid moments at home or adventurous outings in nature. This venture combines my passion for photography with my love for animals, and I am excited to see the results unfold.

What to expect…

With outdoor pet photo shoots, the most important thing is that your dog feels happy, calm, and safe throughout the entire process.

Whenever possible, I prefer to hold the shoot in a location where the dog is already familiar and comfortable. If we find ourselves in a new place and your dog is busy zooming around, engaging in all the fun activities that dogs typically enjoy, it can indeed make it a little more challenging to capture the perfect photos.

To ensure everything runs smoothly, I usually arrive at the prearranged location about 30 minutes prior to the shoot to check the area out, even if I’ve been there before. Once our furry model arrives, the first 15 to 20 minutes is dedicated to allowing the dog to settle in and calm down a little, because who doesn’t get a little overexcited at the prospect of going to the park?

After that initial period, we really start to focus on capturing the bulk of the images, and we continue shooting as long as our canine subject is willing to cooperate, as dogs can sometimes become a bit bored with all the sitting still after a while.

If your dog is treat or toy motivated, it is definitely a good idea to bring some along with you. Additionally, any props that you feel would enhance the shoot are also encouraged; if you have something special in mind that you’d like to create, we can absolutely work on that together.

If your dog is usually in a harness, it might be best to consider switching them to a collar with a leash for the duration of the shoot. This will allow us to easily remove the leash during editing
